Inter-university cooperation
From June 20 to 30, 2024, representatives of the Myrat Garryev Turkmen State Medical University visited Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, to take advanced training courses.
The purpose of the visit was to improve the professional knowledge and skills of our teachers in the field of cardiology, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.
As part of the program, the staff of our university got acquainted with modern methods of diagnostics of patients with coronary heart disease, as well as their invasive and non-invasive methods of treatment (TAVI operation - transcatheter aortic valve implantation, balloon angioplasty, intravascular stenting) in the departments of cardiology, endovascular surgery, cardio- and angiosurgery of Semmelweis University.
In addition, a discussion was held with representatives of the Semmelweis University management on the further strengthening of inter-university cooperation.
The ten-day advanced training course and the innovative medical knowledge acquired during this period will become a significant contribution to the further training of students and will be of great importance in the further medical activity of our employees. Moreover, this trip will contribute to the further strengthening of future cooperation between the two medical universities.
