During the era of Revival of a new era of Powerful state on the basis of the successful national policy carried out by our Hero Leader, extensive study of the historical and cultural values of our people, development of international cooperation in the field of science and education, and implementation of large-scale activities related to the activation of relations with international organizations, first of all, the United Nations Educational, scientific and cultural organization –UNESCO is passed.

On December 9, 2023, the opening ceremony of the UNESCO Club “Medicinal Plants - our health, our heritage” was held on the foundation of Myrat Garryyev State Medical university of Turkmenistan.

The opening ceremony of the club was attended by the responsible secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan on the affairs of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural organization (UNESCO), Hero of the Turkmenistan Chinar Rustemova, numerous guests and professors and students of the Medical University.

On the occasion of the opening solemn of the UNESCO Club “Our medicinal plants – our health, our heritage”, an exhibition of the books of the National Leader of Turkmen people, Our Hero-Arkadag, as well as medicinal plants and applied arts of our country was organized in the hall of the higher educational institution.  During the opening ceremony, theatrical performances prepared by students of the “Melhem” musical group were demonstrated. Then the event continued with the conference. The conference participants in their speeches emphasized the great merits of Hero-Arkadag and the Esteemed President in studying the rich of  national cultural heritage, a storehouse of medicinal plants that heal the health of the people of our country. The importance of forming a healthy young generation with high spirit and its historical significance in the future was also noted. The conference focused on the worthy role of the university’s UNESCO Club in intensifying its cooperation in the educational field with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, with the Secretariat National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. According to the agreement concluded between Myrat Garryyev State Medical university of Turkmenistan and UNESCO, noting the established tasks for the structural units and functions of the club, its work plan includes the organization of working trips to foreign countries, publication of scientific articles in prestigious publishing houses abroad, publication of educational and methodological aids, books and monographs.

     Participants of the opening ceremony of UNESCO club “Our medicinal plants – our health, our heritage” and conference expressed gratitude to the National Leader of Turkmen people, Our Hero-Arkadag  and the Esteemed President  Arkadagly Hero Serdar for given wide possibilities in  studying material and cultural heritage of our people and all humanity, and also for the creation of UNESCO club “Our medicinal plants – our health, our heritage”.

 

 

On October 2, 2025, in the Era of the Revival of a new epoch of a Powerful State, in honor of International Teachers' Day, which is celebrated within the framework of UNESCO, a round table was held with the participation of members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal Plants - Our Health, Our Heritage" of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

On August 29, 2025, members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal Plants - Our Health, Our Heritage" of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan took part in the international scientific and practical conference "The Importance of Artificial Intelligence in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals", organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan jointly with the Institute of Information Technologies in Education of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

On August 12, 2025, a round table was held at the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan dedicated to the success of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and the importance of a number of forums held within its framework in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

On July 21, 2025, a briefing meeting was held at the UNESCO Club “Medicinal Plants – Our Health, Our Heritage” of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan to disseminate and promote the goals, importance and significance of the “Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries”.

On July 2, 2025, an international online conference titled “Gender Equality – In the Spotlight of the World’s Nations” was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, France. As part of this event, a meeting with members of the UNESCO Club “Medicinal Plants – Our Health, Our Heritage” was held at the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

On May 28, 2025, members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal plants – our health, our heritage" of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan took part and made presentations at the scientific and practical online conference "The Role of Environmental Education of Youth in Achieving Sustainable Development", dedicated to the World Environment Day, organized by the UNESCO Chair "Environmental Education for Sustainable Development" of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute.

On May 20, 2025, in order to popularize the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need, named after our scientist and doctor Arkadag, a discussion was organized with the participation of members of the UNESCO Club “Medicinal Plants – Our Health, Our Heritage” of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

On April 19, 2025, as part of the declared "International Year of Peace and Trust", members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal plants – our health, our heritage" of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan took part in the online conference "Tebigatymyzy bilelikde goralyň!". The event was organized by the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, as well as the country's UNESCO Chairs, clubs, and associated schools.

On April 18, 2025, members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal plants – our health, our heritage" of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan took part and made presentations at the II section of the International Conference "Medeni mirasy öwrenmekde we goramakda halkara parahatçylygyň hem-de ynanyşmagyň orny", held at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.

On April 17, 2025, members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal plants – our health, our heritage" of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan took part in the international online conference "Medeni mirasy öwrenmekde we goramakda halkara parahatçylygyň hem-de ynanyşmagyň orny" which was held at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.

On April 8, 2025, the meeting "Türkmeniň ýürek buýsanjy ganatly bedewler" was held at the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan, organized jointly by the UNESCO Club "Medicinal Plants – Our Health, Our Heritage" and outstanding master teachers of the UNESCO Club "Ahalteke horses-envoys of peace" of the International horse breeding academy named after Aba Annayev.

On February 27, 2025, members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal Plants – Our Health, Our Heritage" of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan took part and made presentations in the online webinar “Türkmen bedewi we dünýä seýisçilik sungaty”, organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, in order to promote the success of the national equestrian group “Galkynysh” at the International Festival of Circus Arts held in Monte Carlo, Principality of Monaco.

On February 25, 2025, within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust, members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal Plants – Our Health, Our Heritage" of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan took part and made presentations at the online scientific and practical conference "Environmental Well-being – the Basis of Peace and Progress", organized by the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO and the UNESCO Chair "Environmental Education for Sustainable Development" of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute.

On February 17, 2025, active members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal Plants – Our Health, Our Heritage" at the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan participated in an online scientific-practical conference. The event was organized to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the UNESCO Chair "Environmental Education for Sustainable Development" at the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute and was also dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the International Day of Women in Science.

The conference focused on highlighting the contributions of women scientists in advancing environmental education for sustainable development.

On February 12, 2025, lecturers and students of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan participated in an online methodological conference on the topic "Basic Rules for Publishing Articles in Journals Indexed in International Scientific and Technical Information Resources", organized by the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.

On February 7, 2025, members of the UNESCO Club "Medicinal plants – our health, our heritage" of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan participated in the regularly broadcasted television program "Türkmenistan – ÝUNESKO: Diýardan ýaýran ýollar" on the "Turkmenistan – Sport" TV channel.
