Department of Pathological Physiology was founded in 1934. Nowadays the classrooms of the department, study-methodical rooms, room for the interactive teaching are supplied with multimedia technology, scientific-research laboratory of the department is equipped with modern equipment and technology.

 

The discipline "Pathological physiology" is studied by the third-year students of the medical, pediatric, medical-preventive, stomatology and pharmaceutical faculties.

 

The staff of the department prepared a textbook "Pathological physiology". The department is widely used multimedia presentations, at the lectures and practical lessons the materials are also presented in electronic form.

 

The main scientific direction of the department - to study the influence of various factors on the immunological reactivity of the organism, and especially the development of respiratory diseases. Scientific works are published in periodicals editions and in the collections of scientific and practical conferences. Teachers organize presentations that promote a healthy lifestyle on television and radio, and actively participate in social events.

 

Department staff shall make every effort to identify creative potential of each student, to generate initiative and independence, to develop the scientific and professional abilities of students. During the school year, students get acquainted with the forms of teaching and research work of students, are preparing themed presentations, presentations at the annual student conferences.
