The Pharmacology Department of the Pharmacy Faculty was established in 1932. Four disciplines are studied at the department: "Pharmacology", "The Heritage of National Medicine", "Pharmacology of Sports", "Pharmacology of Chinese Medicine", including the pharmacological properties and the degree of toxicity of medicinal plants growing in the territory of Turkmenistan. Modern classrooms of the department are supplied with up-to-date medical and pharmaceutical equipment.

 

The scientific activity of the department deals with the study of the works of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" and "Turkmenistan - the Land of Healing". The workers investigate the influence of herbal teas made on the basis of medicinal plants growing in the territory of our country on human organism. A work offered by the Türkmendermansenagat Association, as well as on the topic: "Metabolic passport of acetylation of the organism of Turkmen people is carried out.

 

The teachers of the department have published the textbook "Pharmacology", developed methodological manuals: "The Heritage of National Medicine", "General Pharmacology", "Classification of Drugs by Pharmacotherapeutic Groups ", etc.  and published about 90 scientific articles.

 

The teachers of the department together with the students of the Pharmacy Faculty carry out tutorial and supervising work and take an active part in festive events held at the university and on a national level.
