The Medicine and Biological Physics Department was established in 1932. Territorially, the department consists of 6 educational and 5 computer classrooms, 2 laboratories, large and small lecture halls. All classrooms are equipped with visual aids in subjects. Laboratories are supplied with equipment that provides an opportunity to study the characteristics of the cardiovascular respiratory and fluids, there is physiotherapy equipment.

Training is conducted in the subjects “Medicine and Biological Physics and Medical Equipment”, “Modern Computer Technologies”, “Digital Economy”, “Higher Mathematics”, “Telemedicine”. The teachers of the department have published over 100 scientific and methodological works, including “ Medical and Biological Physics”, “Fundamentals of Bioenergetics”, “Antioxidants and Simple Radicals”, “Inductothermy. Defibrillator. Cardioaccelerator” and others, as well as a collection of lectures in all subjects and their electronic version.

The teachers of the department conduct scientific work on the following themes: “Innovative method of electrophoresis with therapeutic mud”, “Physical-chemical and pharma-biological peculiarities of medicinal plants of Turkmenistan”. The research results are published in various scientific journals of Turkmenistan in the collections of the scientific and practical conferences.

There is a group on the subject “Physics” at the department which attracts capable and inquisitive young boys and girls. The most active and talented students participate in the Internet Olympiad “Modern Computer Technologies”.
