Primary Trade Union Oranisation of Myrat Garryyev State Medical University is a structural chain of the Medical Workers Trade Union of Turkmenistan whose main task is to protect the right and represent the interests of the trade union members. Any worker and student of the University observing the Charter of the Trade union Organisation and paying membership dues can be a trade union member. A large-scale work on the solution of the university problems and issues and organisation of events for the educational establishment is being carried out within the framework of the Medical University.

Main directions of the activity of the Trade Union Organisation of the University are:

-organisation of the admittance to the primary trade union organization and record of its members;

-regular reception of the workers and students on their personal issues;

-participation of the representatives of the trade union organization in the work of the university administration and University Scientific Council;

-regular consideration of the applications for material assistance and its payment as well as material encouragement of the workers and students actively participating in the social life of the university;

- award of trade union scholarships for the university students and teachers for their active participation in the  trade union work and excellent study;

-propaganda of a healthy lifestyle among the workers and students by means of organized support of sport events;

- work with low-income categories of the workers and students;

-provision of the opportunity to the trade union members to have discount vouchers for treatment at a sanatoria and health resorts, rest homes, sanatoria, recreation establishments, children’s recreation complexes on the basis of the application;

 -participation in the organization of the events dedicated to the significant dates;

-organisation of the competitions contests, exhibitions. Awarding winners with diplomas  and presents.
