On May 6, 2024, students of Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan took part online in the "International World Innovation Student Exhibition" (IWISE), held in English in London, UK.

Students of the Faculty of General Medicine presented their scientific projects online. As a result, Malika Rozmetova and Nazik Atayeva won the gold medal with their scientific project "Antibacterial effect of Turkmen medicinal plants", Muhammedaly Atabayev and Humay Begmuradova won a silver medal for their scientific project "The importance of eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids in telomere protection" and Begench Bahramov was also awarded a silver medal for his work "Production of milk rich in melatonin to restore the circadian rhythm of people suffering from insomnia".  With this victory, the students have a chance to participate in the global finals, which will be held in August this year.
