On December 9, 2023, on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality, which, thanks to the historical endeavors of the Hero of Arkadag, is widely and solemnly celebrated in countries around the world on the basis of a special UN Resolution, the opening ceremony of the UNESCO Club “Medicinal Plants - our health and our heritage” was held at the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev.

The opening ceremony of the club was attended by the executive secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Hero of Turkmenistan Chinar Tajievna Rustemova, numerous guests and the teaching staff with students of the medical university.

The grand opening of the UNESCO Club and the first meeting of club members took place. The opening ceremony continued with a conference.

On the occasion of the opening of the UNESCO Club “Medicinal Plants - our health and our heritage”, an exhibition of books by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero Arkadag, rich in medicinal plants of our country, as well as an exhibition of applied art of our people was organized in the hall of this higher educational institution.

The grand opening of the UNESCO Club took place and the first meeting of club members took place. The opening ceremony was followed by a consultation.

Speakers at the conference noted the importance of the opportunities and conditions created by our Hero Arkadag and our Esteemed President in the new historical era for the study of our national cultural heritage, rich medicinal plants that improve human health, the role of forming a healthy, energetic young generation in this area, as well as rightly noted the historical significance of the opening of the UNESCO club “Medicinal Plants - our health and our heritage” at the university.

Participants in the opening ceremony and conference of the UNESCO Club “Medicinal Plants - our health and our heritage” expressed words of appreciation and gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag and our Esteemed President, Hero of Arkadagly Serdar for the ample opportunities to study the material and cultural heritage of our Turkmen people and all humanity, as well as for the discovery at a higher educational institution of the UNESCO Club “Medicinal Plants - our health and our heritage”.
