On the occasion of the “International Neutrality Day”, widely and solemnly celebrated in countries around the world on the basis of a special United Nations Resolution, the II International Internet Olympiad in Biology was successfully held from December 5 to 7 at the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

Along with Turkmen students, students from 26 countries, such as the USA, Canada, Great Britain, the Federal Republic of Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, India, Islamic Republic of Iran, Turkey, People's Republic of China, South Korea, Malaysia, Russian Federation and other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, took part in the International Internet Olympiad. Over 550 students from 96 prestigious universities expressed a desire to test themselves and show their knowledge.

The jury of the Olympiad consisted of representatives of scientific and educational institutions of our country and the Astrakhan State Medical University of the Russian Federation, with which cooperation is carried out on the basis of a signed Memorandum.

Based on the results of the Olympiad, the winners were determined and awarded golden, silver and bronze medals, as well as Diplomas of I, II and III degrees respectively.

79 students became winners of the Olympiad. 18 of them took the 1st place, 27 – the 2nd, 34 – the 3rd place and won gold, silver and bronze medals accordingly. Among the winners were 40 students from Turkmenistan.
